Drew Prentice

Is a singer/songwriter recently moved back to Charleston, SC from Charlotte, NC. The music is described as experimental in nature, but most closely akin to folk and country. Drew has returned to acoustic folk duo Plokalacha after a year long hiatus in Charlotte playing with band Nematode. Working towards the near release of studio albums with both bands, Drew is looking to book Grateful Dead/Bob Dylan style cover gigs to fund the mastering of his own project.

Drew has played in bands since 14 in a range of styles from jazz and hip hop to western swing and bluegrass on guitar, bass, piano, drums and banjo. Especially fond of the music of Django Reinhardt, he adds a newer layer of lyrical flare of subconscious art speak to older conceptions of musical forms.
